We’re Loud Africa: a long overdue update!

Eunice & I are in Italy now, we fly to Nairobi on Monday. We’ll be hunkering down at our computers all day most days, and then meeting with locals in the evenings. There is a lot of organizing to do, and we’re ready – it’s our favorite part of We’re Loud Fest.

Immersing ourselves in the music scene of a new city… in another country, on another continent… is also a lot of fun! On our two previous trips to Nairobi we’ve already made a load of friends, and every visit gets better.

We’re still Freaking Out about confirming the first visit to Africa for DEATH (proto-punk legends from Detroit, USA)! The rest of the international lineup is coming together, but we won’t announce any of it without the lineup of local Kenyan acts. That will happen sometime in August – we thank you for your patience.
