¡Hey ho!  Algunas noticias importantes de México: el estado de Oaxaca requerirá que todos los turistas, nacionales y extranjeros, muestren prueba de vacunación COVID-19 a su llegada (El Imparcial).  No estamos seguros de cuándo entrará en vigencia, pero definitivamente a fines de octubre, en preparación para las celebraciones del Día de Muertos.  Si no pueden vacunarse, parece que podrían permitir la entrada con una prueba de PCR negativa; definitivamente lo actualizaremos cuando sepamos más.

Aquí en México todavía estamos en el peor momento de la pandemia, pero esta última ola ha provocado acciones serias para vencer al virus.  Las vacunas están ampliamente disponibles, se han tomado precauciones adicionales y los casos han comenzado a disminuir.  Confiamos en que la situación habrá mejorado mucho para noviembre.

Habitaciones de hotel: ¡quedan unas 15 habitaciones en el hotel oficial de Were Loud Fest!

Entradas: ¡saldrán a la venta dentro de dos semanas!  Si reservaron una habitación de hotel, serán los primeros en saber.

Hey ho! Some important news from down in Mexico: the state of Oaxaca will require all tourists, national & foreign, to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon arrival (Mexico Daily Post). We’re not sure when this will go into effect — but definitely by late October, in preparation for Day of the Dead celebrations. If you are unable to get vaccinated, it sounds like they might allow entry with a negative PCR test — we will definitely update you when we know more. 

Here in Mexico we are still in the worst moment of the pandemic, but this last wave has brought about serious action to beat the virus. Vaccination shots are widely available, extra precautions have been taken, and cases have begun to fall. We are confident that the situation will have improved greatly by November.

Hotel rooms: about 15 rooms remain at the official hotel of We’re Loud Fest!

Tickets: will go on sale about two weeks from now! If you booked a hotel room, you’ll be the first to know when they do.

Transport: our next update will include tips on the cheapest / best ways to get to Puerto Escondido from Mexico City and from everywhere else on Earth. Stay tuned!
