Pete Slovenly está muy emocionado de anunciar la incorporación de su banda mexicana favorita de rock’n’roll: ¡DUG DUG’S! Después de descubrirlos a principios de la década de 2000, compró todos sus álbumes, obras maestras del rock’n’roll psicodélico de los 70’s. Después de darse cuenta recientemente de que la banda en realidad comenzó con botas beatle en los años 60, se hizo aún más claro que ellos * deben * estar en el cartel del Were Loud Fest en Puerto Escondido (¡y que necesitaba todos sus singles de los 60!)

Uniéndose a una alineación ya de por sí pesada, con THE KIDS de Bélgica, que continúan dominando los escenarios de punk rock y demuestran cuán sincera es su devoción, más de 40 años después de declarar “That’s my life until I die, That’s my life until I die” en “This es Rock’n’roll ”

Junto con THE RIP OFFS de San Francisco, ¡leyendas del Budget Rock de los noventa! y una gran cantidad de otras bandas y DJs aplastantes de todo México y el mundo, durante cinco días en un paraíso tropical, junto a las playas con algunas de las mejores olas para surfear del mundo, ¡bajo las colinas de Oaxaca de donde fluye el mezcal!

Pero bueno, HEY PUNKS!!, todo el evento depende de la salud de todos, así que esperamos que aprovechen la primera oportunidad para pasar por debajo de esa aguja. Esta pequeña ciudad está en su peor momento de los últimos 18 meses, y largas filas de gente se arremangan, por lo que tenemos la esperanza de que para noviembre estaremos en buena forma.

Hemos reservado un hotel completo aquí a solo unos minutos a pie de la playa, y la próxima semana comenzaremos a aceptar reservas de habitaciones. Pero no planeamos poner las entradas a la venta hasta finales de septiembre cuando, esperamos, quede más claro que podremos hacer esta fiesta sin difundir nada … ¡además de resacas!

Pete Slovenly is extremely excited to announce the addition of his long-time favorite Mexican rock’n’roll band: DUG DUG’S!  After discovering them in the early 2000s he bought all their albums — masterpieces of 70s psychedelic rock’n’roll. After recently realizing that the band actually started in beatle boots in the 60s, it became even more clear that they must be on the bill at We’re Loud Fest in Puerto Escondido (and that he needed all their 60s singles!)

Joining an already heavy lineup, featuring THE KIDS from Belgium, who continue to dominate punk rock stages and prove how sincere is their devotion — 40+ years after declaring “that’s my life until i die, that’s my life until i die” in “This is Rock’n’roll”.

Along with THE RIP OFFS from San Francisco, legends of 90s budget rock! and a slew of other killer bands & DJs from around Mexico & the world, during five days in a tropical paradise, alongside the beaches with some of the world’s best surfing waves, under the Oaxacan hills from which the mezcal flows!

But hey, punks — the whole event depends on everyone’s health, so we hope you’ll all take your very first opportunity to go under that needle. This little town is in its worst moment of the last 18 months, and long lines of people are rolling up their sleeves, so we are hopeful that by November, we’ll be in good shape.

We have reserved an entire hotel here just a few minutes walk from the beach, and next week we will begin accepting room reservations. But we don’t plan to put tickets on sale until late September when — we hope — it will be more clear that we’ll be able to throw this party without spreading anything… besides hangovers!
