Slovenly is extra pumped to present this platter from Tuscan punk rock paesanos the DIRTIEST. Label founder Peter Menchetti is Italian (from New York, which has so much Italian blood it may as well be the 21st region of Italy!) and while it’s not the first album we release from the old country, the DIRTIEST are the first to do it in Italiano, and you know the saying — they do it better.

Lyrically, the DIRTIEST bounce from brilliance to bonehead and then back, showing deep disgust for the status quo in Italy, and deep love for punk rock & all their pals in the scene. Musically, they are clearly picking up where the RAMONES left the SPITS & the PIZZAS off, but not without adding some strong Italian flavor. After hearing this for the first time, PERSONAL was torn between heading for Italy with his baseball bat, and sending the band a cease & desist — but then we reminded him that Iggy & Joey never busted any PIZZAS balls…

If you’ve ever wondered what makes Italian punk rock different from punk rock from Italy, this LP will show you — side A is all in Italian, and side B is all in English. The B-side tracks are only being released on the backside of this platter, so statte zitt’ e mangia! — while it’s hot.

Dalla melassa rimestata e puzzolente, che ormai ci imbozzola a livello planetario come larve, emerge Sovranista, il grido di schifo e disincanto a firma The Dirtiest, futura cornerstone per il r’n’r italico. Scommessa stravinta per Pete Slovenly nella sua battaglia per dischi cantati dalle band nelle proprie lingue madri.

Diviso, nell’edizione in vinile, in Italian side e english side, verrete risvegliati, nel lato A, dai meritati calci in culo di un fuoco di fila di istant-3 chords-hits. Tutti sicuri futuri italian-classics, che si stamperanno istantaneamente nel cervello. 10 gioiellini r’n’r punk, spesso lunghi meno di 2 minuti, come mai una band italiana ne aveva infilati uno dietro l’altro, suonati con un tiro micidiale, memori di Ramones, Spits, Dickies, Hanson Brothers, ma anche di Lard, Dead Kennedys, Zero Boys, 7 Seconds e Cosmic Psychos.

Titoli e testi eloquenti come tavole di Mosè del disastro 2020, per un cantato in italiano finalmente convincente e sintetico, strafottente e gongolante, quasi un Joey Ramone in salsa glam-white trash italiota, quasi à la Vasco/Achille Lauro (eresia maxima!), mix quantomeno inedito per il nostro bel(?)paese. Una volta poi che avrete vomitato per benino tutto lo schifo italiota che in questi ultimi anni vi è stato proposto come soluzione alle vostre meschine frustrazioni da western kings of punk, sarete definitivamente frullati nello Psycho(d)rama lo-fi garage r’n’r cantato in inglese del lato B, tra echi di Pussy Galore, Man or Astroman?, Oblivians periodo play 9 songs, e dalle parti di una totally uncool Schizo Blues Explosion…

Perché il marcio è ormai ovunque, baby, altro che Sovranismo… This is my realm, this is my home, get out of here, who the fuck you are?, come cantano in Get Out. L’incubo tutto reale della side A sembrerà apparentemente solo un brutto sogno, dopo l’happy sing-along del congedo freak garage, quasi alla Black Lips, di Freak love. Impiccati in copertina, sullo sfondo i casermoni brutalisti di una periferia occidentale, i nostri “zozzoni” cedono a quei tristi palazzoni il bianco/rosso/verde della pezza da culo nazionale delle loro tute e si immolano, bianchi e immacolati, sulla strada rosso sangue del calvario dell’intelligenza.
